Family Support Meetings

We are a grassroots family support organization and offer information, support and resources whenever necessary to those for whom we advocate. As well as telephone and email support, we organize regular Family Support Meetings to which we invite a local healthcare and/or teaching professionals with expertise in AD/HD, Asperger’s Syndrome, Dyslexia and/or related conditions.

These are very informal meetings where information is freely exchanged about best practice, strategies, books, schools, etc., often leading to exciting discussions. Everyone is welcome to attend these meetings, but they are only free for our members. It is not unusual for parents to stumble upon a therapist (Speech & Language, Occupational, Psychotherapist, etc.) or a coach as they browse through our selection of books or hover around our refreshment table, while connecting with other parents whose experiences are not unlike their own.

Often, this is a welcome oasis where parents feel they are not alone, and where it is possible to put the demands of rearing a child with learning and/or behavioural challenges in perspective.

If you want to find out more about these meetings, please contact
info@adhd-edu.be or membership@adhd-edu.be. You can also call: 0494 17 74 03.
