"Understanding Autism Spectrum Conditions from Within"

Trainer(s)

Hilde de Clercq, International ASC Expert, Author, Trainer

Location

IBC Fellowship Hall, Lange Eikstraat 76-78, 1970 Wezembeek-Oppem

Details

The focus of this training is the de-mystification of Autism for the participants and no one can do this better than Hilde de Clercq who hails from Ghent but travels the world spreading awareness about Autism Spectrum Conditions, giving Keynote Speeches, training teachers, parents and employers about what it is like to have an Autism diagnosis. She is unique in that she speaks not only as a professional, but also as a mother of a now adult son who has Aspergers Syndrome. We are lucky to have             her with us on Saturday and indeed it was only because Hilde herself insisted on squeezing this training in between Spain and Switzerland. She is tireless in her efforts to show us how to dig below the surface to discover the meaning of the symptoms that she says are only "...the tip of the iceberg."  Her keen insight and the circumstances that led to her learning about "Autism from within" are what makes her different to others in this field. She is the author of two critically acclaimed books, which have been translated from Dutch into English, French, Spanish, Polish and Italian.
